HiTide Hostel – Our Story

HiTide Hostel is a small, independent hostel right on Las Canteras Beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. For us, HiTide is not simply a place where people come to sleep. It is a place where travellers meet, stories are shared, plans are made and friendships often begin.

We created HiTide with the idea of making people feel at home while being far away from home. The ocean is literally outside our door, and the beach, sunshine and relaxed Canarian lifestyle naturally become part of everyday life here.

Our guests come from all over the world — backpackers, surfers, digital nomads, adventurers and people simply looking for a different way to travel. Everyone arrives with their own story, and that is what makes the hostel special.

We love the simple things: having a coffee together, watching the sunset from the rooftop, going surfing, discovering the island, sharing dinner or suddenly finding yourself talking to someone you’ve only just met.

HiTide is about people, the ocean and the freedom to enjoy life at your own pace.
